As a SharePoint Power Platform Developer and Administrator, you will be responsible for providing support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR. With missions that include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites, you'll be working in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment where AFNCR operations must never fail. Your primary support areas will include IT Operations and Maintenance, Plans, Projects, and Engineering.

The SharePoint Power Platform Developer and Administrator supports the Air Force National Capital Region Information Technology Services (AFNCR ITS) program by providing administration, development, troubleshooting, and operational support for Microsoft SharePoint Online (SPO), Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, and Power Platform solutions within enterprise and government environments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support, administration, and troubleshooting for SharePoint Online (SPO) and Microsoft 365 collaboration environments supporting AFNCR ITS customers.

Develop and maintain custom SharePoint and Power Platform solutions utilizing:
  • JavaScript
  • CSS
  • HTML
  • jQuery
  • JSON
  • Bootstrap
  • React JS
  • VS Code

Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including:
  • PowerApps
  • Power Automate
  • Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Resolve Tier 1-3 SharePoint Online incidents, service requests, and operational issues in accordance with established SLAs and ITIL processes.

Administer SharePoint Site Collections, including:
  • Site creation
  • Configuration
  • Permissions management
  • Governance
  • Content management
  • Decommissioning activities

  • Manage SharePoint permissions, Active Directory-integrated access controls, user/group memberships, and high-level administrative functions across multiple environments.
  • Design and modify SharePoint pages, layouts, branding, and user interfaces to support customer and mission requirements.
  • Monitor SharePoint environment health, site usage metrics, performance, and service availability to ensure operational stability.
  • Support enterprise collaboration initiatives, modernization efforts, and process improvement activities across AFNCR ITS supported organizations.
  • Utilize BMC Helix, Remedy, or ServiceNow ticketing systems to document, track, update, and resolve incidents, change requests, and service requests.
  • Participate in Change Management processes, including implementation support, outage coordination, and documentation of system changes.
  • Develop technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, user guides, and training materials for customers and support personnel.
  • Conduct customer engagement sessions to gather business and technical requirements for SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
  • Coordinate with application teams, database administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and compliant system operations.
  • Maintain compliance with DoD, Air Force, AFNCR ITS, and cybersecurity policies, including security best practices and operational procedures.
  • Support after-hours maintenance, troubleshooting, and outage response activities as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Requires Bachelors degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Requires a current 8140 IAT Level II (Intermediate or Advanced) certificate (CompTIA Security+).
  • Experience administering and supporting SharePoint Online (SPO) within enterprise or government environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, jQuery, JSON, Bootstrap, React JS, VS Code.
  • Experience developing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including: PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI.
  • Experience utilizing BMC Helix, Remedy, or ServiceNow ticketing systems in an operational support environment.
  • Experience managing SharePoint permissions, Site Collection administration, governance, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, and end-user training materials.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, leadership, and technical teams.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SharePoint

  • Power BI

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force, or federal government environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise SharePoint or Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience with SharePoint branding, customization, and workflow automation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 integrations and collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise operational support models.
  • Experience supporting secure or mission-critical environments.
