Job Description:

Our work depends on a SharePoint Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD or Sterling, VA.

At GDIT, we foster a people-focused and customer-centric environment in delivering Enterprise Apps services. As a SharePoint Engineer supporting the Government, charged with engineering solutions which integrate SharePoint services with load balancing systems, enhance existing technologies, and provides a roadmap for the customer's future infrastructure.

In this role, a typical day may include:

  • Designs and defines system architecture and system design documentation for new or existing computer systems

  • Analyzes user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications

  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities

  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies

  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology

  • Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations

  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans

  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts

  • Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility

  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph

  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline + 8 years' experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work/military experience

  • Experience increasing the scope of SharePoint indexing to external sources and improving relevance of search results

  • Experience managing SharePoint Online

  • Experience managing SharePoint on-premises infrastructure and applications

  • Experience with implementing SharePoint security and access controls. Knowledge of best practices like role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and data loss prevention (DLP) policies is important.

  • Strong knowledge of PowerApps and Power Automate for business process automation

  • Experience creating and customizing SharePoint solutions, including web parts, workflows, and content management features.

  • Experience in back-end programming languages, i.e. Python, JavaScript, Java, Perl, Ruby, C++, etc)

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and advanced troubleshooting tasks

  • Certifications:

    • Microsoft Azure Administrator certification (e.g., AZ-104) or equivalent

    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or Enterprise Administrator

  • Understanding of user interface and user experience design principles for creating user-friendly SharePoint solutions

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
