Job Summary

The Inside Sales Manager is a key member of the Timberline Sales Leadership team that oversees the day-to-day functions of the Inside Sales team. The Inside sale team is an internally focused shared service supporting the OEM Commercial businesses that build Electrical Wire Harnesses and Industrial Control Panels. The Inside Sales team's primary task is to develop quotes and requotes from customer supplied Request for Quotations (RFQs).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision for a team of approximately 5 Inside Sales team members
  • Responsible for the Quoting and Engineering Change Notification (ECN) Processes for the Commercial business
  • Assist sales in creating accurate quotes by performing research and administrative tasks
  • Review and approve all quotes per the Delegation of Authority policy
  • Ensure that all processes are followed to provide high quality and accurate quotations
  • Manage the customer price list program
  • Hire, train and manage Inside Team members
  • Respond appropriately and in a timely manner to customer inquiries
  • Provide Sales Operations administrative support to the Director of Sales
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a sales support role required
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business or a technical field preferred
  • 3-5 plus years of experience in an inside sales role managing high volume quoting preferred
  • Experience working for a Build to Print Contract Manufacture would be ideal
  • Experience working in the electrical industry, electrical wire harness or panel industry is preferred
  • Experience working for a Commercial OEM, Electrical or Electronics Distributor, Manufacturer's Representative, Systems Integrator or Wire Manufacturer is a plus
  • Experience using an ERP system for quoting is a plus
  • Experience leading process improvements (Lean) is a plus
  • Experience with a CRM tool, preferably Salesforce, is a plus
  • Must have strong communication skills to communicate with other team members and customers
  • Ability to lift 50lbs as needed
  • Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive work for long periods of time
  • Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
  • Must have a positive attitude with a customer appreciation mentality
  • Operate with a sense of teamwork
