We are looking for a Field Service Manager to support our Revere brand. Candidate must currently live in the state of Alabama. There is heavy travel involved with this role.

The Job:
The Field Service Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the Field Service personnel so that the department works efficiently while achieving Company objectives. As the Field Service Manager, you will promote and expand the Company's service capabilities and functions as a customer advocate. You will instill the customer's satisfaction with the Company's products and services while promoting service capabilities to Company departments and divisions.

What will you do in this role:
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Engineering personnel to assign field service team. members to support project tasks as it relates to factory testing, field startup and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor work progress and control labor and expense costs of field service personnel on project and service assignments.
  • Provide technical directions to the field service personnel for work assignments.
  • Provide technical assistance for Project Management and Engineering personnel with project requirements and activities to meet customer expectations and schedule requirements.
  • Organize the service employees to accomplish goals efficiently, including the identification of development or training needs and recruiting of talented candidates to achieve the department's goals.
  • Maintain field service personnel loading efficiently with a regular utilization rate of 85% to 90%.
  • Maintain self-loading efficiently with a regular utilization rate above 70%.
  • Develop the technical abilities of the field service personnel through direct training/mentoring and identifying relevant manufacturer training to achieve appropriate certifications.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers/clients, including end-users, consulting engineers, and contractors.
  • Pursue and develop business with the established customer base for field service support activities to meet the customer's needs and expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge and experience in the business' core industries or markets.
  • Assist customers with field service support and questions and to provide recommendations for support solutions.
  • Maintain and validate field service test equipment calibrations and the associated documentation.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Deep knowledge of control systems (e.g., DCS, PLC, HMI, VFD controls, automation), network connectivity, and troubleshooting.
  • Deep knowledge of instrumentation typically found in industrial applications and Water / Wastewater industries.

Education, Experience and Ability Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2) year engineering technology degree with related experience in electronics and control systems.
  • Extensive experience/knowledge of engineering, construction, design, field service and management required.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of field-related service experience.
  • Experience in wireless communication (radio frequency and cellular) applications.
  • Experience in multiple industries is highly desirable, including Pulp & Paper, Power, Steel and Municipal Water/Wastewater industry.
  • Experience in managing service or support personnel.
  • Experience in providing customer support services and managing customer expectations.
  • Ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.
  • Ability to resolve conflict with employees, customers, and vendors/manufacturers.
