JOB STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt and Part-Time, Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Full-Time- Thursday: 10 pm-8 am; Friday: 9 pm-8 am; Saturday 8 pm- 8 am
or Part-Time- Wed/Thurs: 10 pm-8 am; Friday: 2 pm-9 pm; Saturday: 10 am-8 pm
Summary:
Provide direct support, instruction, and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role focuses on promoting independence, teaching daily living skills, and ensuring a safe, supportive home environment while encouraging community involvement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
ยท Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for residents
ยท Provide instruction in daily living skills including personal care, social skills, money management, and household tasks
ยท Support residents in developing independence and achieving individualized goals outlined in service plans
ยท Assist with implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Person-Centered Plans
ยท Monitor and document resident progress and goal achievement
ยท Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents at all times
ยท Participate in recreational and community activities with residents
ยท Encourage positive community participation and relationship building
ยท Support residents in exercising personal choice, independence, and rights
ยท Assist with household management tasks as assigned
ยท Promote dignity, respect, and positive interactions with all residents
ยท Assist with coverage of shifts as needed (when applicable)
Qualifications & Skills:
ยท Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
ยท Ability to teach, guide, and reinforce positive behaviors
ยท Ability to build respectful and professional relationships with individuals served
ยท Strong organizational and documentation skills
ยท Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ยท Ability to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
Physical & Work Requirements:
ยท Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
ยท Ability to assist residents with physical support and daily living tasks
ยท Ability to remain active throughout shift, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
ยท Valid driverโs license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance required
ยท Ability to travel for trainings, meetings, and transportation of residents as needed
Certifications & Training Requirements:
ยท Adult CPR and First Aid certification
ยท Preventing Disease Transmission (Bloodborne Pathogens) certification
ยท Core A & B Medication Training
ยท CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification

Requirements:
Education/Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year of experience in a residential setting serving individuals with disabilities preferred.
