PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Coordinates all responsibilities relative to aquatics programming including swim lessons and water aerobicsAssists with booking and executing birthday parties and private parties/events Assists with lifeguard team member performance evaluations each seasonDevelops surveys and method of distribution for evaluations of programs and servicesCoordinates requests for equipment usage and facility space with the Aquatics ManagerAssists with payroll, scheduling, and supervising lifeguardsConducts meetings with lifeguards and participants (i.e. in-service training and Learn to Swim program)Assists with daily cleaning and maintenance of all pool areas Provides Excellent customer service to guests and members on a daily basis Completes other duties as assigned by managementTHE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:Current Certified Pool Operator certification (will provide training and certification for a candidate that does not have it)Current Red Cross certification in Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor, CPR-PR and First Aid Instructor, or equivalent are all preferred 2-4 years of supervision experience in an aquatics centerExperience and success in delivering Excellent customer serviceAction-oriented personality with a 'get it done' attitude and proficiency for efficiencyThe ability to thrive in a Team environmentMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Private and group swim lesson experience Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skillsMust be able to work under pressure and be decisiveMust be able to work nights and weekendsMust be Lifeguard CertifiedMust be at least 18 years of ageWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to lift 50 pounds' waist highMay be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bendWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditionsWill be exposed to outside temperaturesWill be exposed to pool chemicals
