Your Responsibilities
Within our Fabrication business, the role of Machine Operator is to safely produce a quality product according to the guidelines of a customer's work order in a team environment with other operators. This role requires cross training on various aspects of a lamination machine's operation, and it is vital to the success of our business, as Machine Operators are ensuring that our customers' orders are correct and undamaged.
  • Capable of performing all functions necessary to operate up to two different types of manual equipment (ie. Router, Bands Saw, Pipe cover saw, Curved Segment Saw, Miter Saw, Hullboard machine).

  • Understand purchase orders, product descriptions and how to determine product manufacturing requirements.

  • Understand all functions of the machine, such as blade changing and tensioning, turning equipment on/off, etc.

  • Able to setup or change over the machine from a previous job to perform the requirements of a new job.

  • Make machine adjustments, such as changing blades, adjusting spray guns, using hand tools.

  • Ensure that the machine is capable of producing the required dimensions and other quality requirements of the product to be manufactured.

  • Understand Quality requirements, minimize defects, report any quality or machine issues immediately to supervisor.

  • Understand and perform Lock Out / Tag Out safety procedures.

  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.

  • Actively participate in periodic workplace safety learning sessions.

  • Perform daily general housekeeping activities to keep the work area clean and organized.

  • Complete all work efficiently and timely as instructed by supervisor.

  • Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.

  • If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver's license will be required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing work environment.

  • Prior forklift experience is preferred.

  • Proven track record of good attendance and being on time according to work schedule.

Education
  • High school diploma or GED is required
