Description
This is a dual role consisting of the following responsibilities:
  1. Embroidering uniforms, hats, outerwear, and other accessories.
  2. Repairing, altering and adding accessory items to uniforms and outerwear.

Duties and Responsibilities to include:
  • Mark and set up garments in hoops for embroidery.
  • Follow established designs and specifications, and create new designs and specifications as necessary.
  • Follow established processes and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate embroidery logs.
  • Assist with the check-in of new thread, materials, hardware, etc.
  • Calibrate and set up embroidery machines.
  • Sew utilizing all available industrial sewing machines.
  • Perform repairs and alterations and add accessory items to uniforms and outerwear.
  • Use handheld hardware and tools as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate sewing logs.
  • Assist with the check-in of new fabric, materials, hardware, etc.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines
  • Assist with material inventory counts.
  • Communicate with sewing lead and/or facility manager to reorder materials and supplies.
  • Assist with facility cleaning.
  • Cooperate and share information with team members.
  • Train team members as requested by the store manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by management to address and provide effective support of company mission, values and goals.

Requirements
Pre-requisite Core Competencies
  • Capable of following established designs and specifications.
  • Capable of lifting and handling elements that can weigh up to 10 pounds each.
  • Embroidery machine operation.
  • Knowledge of embroidery machines/software/principals
  • Knowledge of computers and design software
