Description

The Janitor and Event Set-Up Crew is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the facility. This role includes performing routine cleaning tasks, handling trash collection, managing linens, and ensuring all areas remain sanitary and well-stocked. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Janitor will report to the Janitor Manager. 


This position is Part-Time and requires availability on weekends and holidays.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms and facilities.
  • Collect, dispose of, and recycle trash as needed.
  • Restock dispensers and maintain supply inventory in restrooms and meeting spaces.
  • Launder, fold, and distribute linens as required.
  • Dust, wipe down surfaces, and remove cobwebs in various areas.
  • Clean sinks, mirrors, tubs, showers, and drains.
  • Move furniture as needed to clean underneath and set up rooms.
  • Assist with venue setup and breakdown, including the stage, and arranging tables/chairs.
  • Lock and unlock doors in meeting spaces and other designated areas.
  • Work with cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Perform outdoor cleaning tasks, including picking up trash and maintaining common areas.
  • Maintain an excellent attitude with guests and co-workers. 
  • All other job duties as assigned. 


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Experience in janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping roles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.


Physical Demands:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs., including cleaning supplies and furniture.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, climbing ladders, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Engage in physically intensive tasks such as setting up tables, stacking chairs, and handling large trash loads.
