POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Assembler plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the manufacture of high-quality products. Responsible for executing assembly tasks according to the work instructions, this role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards. The Production Assembler must achieve set production goals, maintain a safe and clean work environment, and leverage Lean manufacturing tools to enhance efficiency.

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Follow established work instructions to properly assemble products and/or different parts of products.
  • Achieve established goals or deadlines set for specific work areas.
  • Complete all required paperwork and/or data entry.
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Attendance and dependability are essential job functions. Required to report to work on time and follow attendance guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.

  • None.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Ability to read and interpret tape measurements accurately.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is subject to Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity

  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power saws and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach, performing mechanical or skilled trades’ tasks of a non-repetitive nature such as carpenters, technicians, service people, plumbers, painters, mechanics, etc.

Working Conditions

  • The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
