About Harris County Flood Control District:
The Flood Control District has the mission to reduce the risk of flooding in Harris County, the third most populated county in the United States, with a population in excess of 4.7 million, including the City of Houston, the nation's fourth largest city. The Flood Control District has jurisdiction over the primary stormwater facilities in the county, which consist of approximately 1,500 channels totaling nearly 2,500 miles in length, as well as more than 60 regional stormwater detention basins, totaling more than 10,000 acres and several wetlands mitigation banks including Greens bayou.
Production Supervisor Job Summary:
Harris County Flood Control District is seeking qualified candidates for the Production Supervisor position in the Facilities Maintenance Department, who will be responsible for supervising and assigning daily work to the field crew and ensuring the crew meets set production goals.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Supervision & Crew Oversight
  • Supervise and oversee the crew leaders, toolroom attendant, and the entire field crew.
  • Travel to crew locations to ensure crews are meeting production requirements and goals.
  • Assign daily work to the field crew, track production, and issue work orders for daily assignments.
Administrative & Operational Documentation
  • Prepare daily production forms, document incidents and accidents, and submit requests for damaged equipment, supplies, and small equipment via the storefront application.
  • Enter crew timesheet information and scan all tickets from the recycling center and landfills for payment.
  • Prepare and update daily work reports on all activities.
Safety & Site Inspection
  • Inspect work sites, facilities, and equipment, and ensure safety standards are being met.
  • Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required, adapting to the District's evolving demands, responsibilities, needs, and objectives.

Education:

Experience:

Licensure:
