  • Solicit, evaluate, and organize subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure complete coverage of project scopes.
  • Assist in preparing bid proposals and estimate summaries for presentation to leadership and clients.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to assess existing conditions and confirm design assumptions.
  • Identify potential risks or constructability concerns and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with Preconstruction and Operations teams to ensure a smooth project handoff.
  • Stay informed of trends in construction materials, labor, equipment, and technology.
  • Represent Wilhelm with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to quality and teamwork.
  • Perform accurate and thorough quantity take-offs, including import/export, backfill, piping, etc. as well as organize and format estimates for ease of comprehension by the end user

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

Required:

  • Bluebeam (or similar) PDF viewer/takeoff software
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred:

  • HCSS HeavyBid (or similar) estimating software
  • Agtek (or similar) earthwork takeoff software
  • Primavera P6 (or similar) scheduling software

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering, estimating, or similar experience with mass earthwork, underground utilities, water/wastewater treatment plants, or exposed piping.
  • PE license or the ability to obtain one is a plus.
