Position Overview
  • Title: Hourly Shift Supervisor / Department Manager
  • Status: Hourly / Non-Exempt
  • Reports To: General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Owner

Key Responsibilities
  • Shift Leadership: Act as Manager-on-Duty, run pre-shift meetings, direct station flow, and manage peak-hour pacing.
  • Staff Coaching: Train new hires, mentor team members in real time, and enforce company policies.
  • Guest Relations: Greet customers, monitor satisfaction, and handle service recovery or complaints with empathy.
  • Quality & Safety: Monitor food temperatures, cleanliness, and compliance with health and sanitation codes.
  • Operations Support: Oversee opening and closing checklists, manage cash drawers and safe drops, and track basic inventory.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 1+ years of restaurant or hospitality experience; previous lead or training experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication, basic math and cash handling, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Certifications: Valid food handler or ServSafe manager certification (where required).
