We are looking for an Inside Salesperson to join our team!
The Inside Salesperson will support existing customers, explore opportunities for new products as well as expand business within the current customer base, and introduce products to prospective customers. Providing responses to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assisting the field sales force with customer support.
  • Ensure regular telephone contact with all key account customers and existing client base, prospects and leads.
  • Follow up with customers on quotations.
  • Prospect and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Generate price quotations for new, and renewed sales opportunities following pricing strategies.
  • Understand the relevant material specifications and customer requirements.
  • Provide support to purchasing to maintain ideal stock levels for customer long term contracts.
  • Participates in monthly sales meetings to report on previous month's efforts.
  • Some travel required.

Function in the Job
Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Required Skills
  • Willingness to learn and understand sales is required
  • Previous sales experience is not required; prior customer relations experience is preferred
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have good computer and applications knowledge
  • Computer and data entry skills required; experience using MS Office products, email and databases preferred
  • Ability and desire to learn is essential to this position
  • Must have ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Analytical skills to determine profitability on both large bid packages and daily transactions
  • Negotiation and critical decision-making skills; effective communicator; capable of building and developing strong business relationships; effective presentation skills
