Medicaid Processor

Manage the application process for Long Term Care Medicaid benefits, working with residents, their families, and caregivers to facilitate timely and accurate submission of the Medicaid application. Working remotely with patients, their families, and caregivers to gather state-required documents, examining income and assets and following other qualifying guidelines to ensure the timely and accurate submission of the Medicaid application to the state for approval. Managing intake, document review, and filing Medicaid applications. Daily management of file caseload with absolute accuracy and discretion in handling confidential matters and materials.

Essential Knowledge required to do this job: Ability to interpret policy and procedures and apply to case files. Proven ability to appropriately use MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Prior experience in CRM Software is a plus. Essential Attitudes required to do this job: Must be able to multi-task; highly organized, have a keen sense of urgency to complete files accurately and timely, ability to manage a high volume of client files. Strong customer service skills utilizing telephonic and/or electronic outreach; ability to listen and understand client needs throughout the application process. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to obtain necessary documentation needed for the application approval. Ability to analyze and interpret policies and procedures, define problems, research solutions and complete tasks. Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive materials is imperative. Strong typing and computer skills (proven proficiency in Microsoft Office).
