Culligan is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee our business operations at the store branches. The General Manager will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. As General Manager, your duties also include guiding staff in your branch, setting performance objectives, evaluating, and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld, and preparing operations and financial reports.

To be successful as a General Manager, you should be able to lead and manage people, ensure operations run smoothly, and achieve revenue targets. Ultimately, a top-notch General Manager should be able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Specific Job Function:

    • Oversee production and operations at the bottling water plant and satellite branches, with specific attention to service-related activities such as HVAC, Plumbing, and maintenance
    • Drive business growth and profitability through efficient management of service operations
    • Safeguard branch assets and manage profit and loss activities, with a focus on service-related revenue streams
    • Monitor and control overtime and temporary labor usage, particularly in service departments
    • Ensure staff delivers exceptional customer service in service-related interactions and evaluate staff performance in this area
    • Motivate and recognize branch personnel contributions to foster a team culture, emphasizing the importance of service excellence
    • Conduct financial analysis and implement corrective actions as needed, with particular attention to service-related revenue and expenses
    • Manage delivery and service call routing efficiently, optimizing schedules to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction
    • Achieve sales targets for service contracts and related offerings, and prepare forecasts and budgets accordingly
    • Supervise branch payables, inventory, and receivables, with a focus on service-related materials and supplies
    • Stay informed about local market competition, particularly in the service sector, and adjust strategies accordingly
    • Recruit, select, and develop branch employees, with an emphasis on technical skills and service expertise
    • Enforce company policies and safety guidelines, with particular attention to service-related safety protocols
    • Provide training and coaching to employees, with a focus on technical skills and service excellence
    • Support production supervisor and assist in administrative tasks, particularly those related to service operations
    • Handle paperwork related to insurance reporting, with a focus on service-related incidents and claims

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Direct responsibility for P&L performance, including revenue, costs, and margins.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • 5 years of Basic Plumbing, Operations, Management, and Marketing is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Ability to generate sales growth. Strong sales generation ability and financial performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Target Salary Range: $95,000 – $130,000 salary a year with the opportunity for eligible employees to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for competitive benefits, including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, disability benefits and 401(k).
