Job Title: Bookstore Operations Assistant

Duration: 4 Months

Location: Wellesley Hills, MA, 02481

Job Description

The Bookstore Operations Assistant supports the daily operations by providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Main Bookstore Tasks:

  • Support daily operations of the bookstore.
  • Provide front-line customer service to students, faculty and staff, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Receive, unpack, and stock textbooks, receive shipments in the system.
  • Assist students with ordering textbooks, acessing digitial bookshelf, redeeming access codes.
  • Coordinate textbook distribution, returns and exchanges.
  • Support faculty with textbook adoption processes, deadlines, and platform navigation to ensure accurate listings each semester.
  • Liaison with online book distributor and publishers as needed to troubleshoot orders and acess codes.
  • Address, resolve or escalate student, faculty, and staff concerns.
  • Maintain bookstore order and organization.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks.
  • Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced higher education environment.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 30-40 pounds.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during semester start-up and peak periods.
