Kitchen Assistant
Compensation: $17.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
  • Full-Time or Part-Time
  • Sunday through Friday
  • Shifts: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 12:00 PM-8:00 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Kitchen Assistant to support the daily operations of a high-volume kitchen. This role assists with food preparation, meal service, cleaning, dishwashing, and inventory while helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with food preparation and basic cooking for daily meal service
  • Set up food stations and bring out food for meal periods
  • Monitor food stations during meals and replenish items as needed
  • Check and stock paper goods before and during meal service
  • Wash pots, pans, dishes, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace
  • Assist with post-meal cleanup of the kitchen and dining areas
  • Unload deliveries and safely store food, supplies, and inventory
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Assist with additional kitchen and food service responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move inventory boxes and supplies
