Job Title

Facility/Security/Support Services

Job Description

Provides customer service, administrative, and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical office setting. Responsible for patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, medical record requests, payment collection, and general office support to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients and visitors and provides excellent customer service.
  • Checks patients in and out and obtains required documentation.
  • Verifies and updates patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Obtains and verifies insurance authorizations and precertifications.
  • Schedules and confirms patient appointments.
  • Processes medical record release requests.
  • Enters, reviews, and submits daily charges for patient procedures and services.
  • Collects copayments and other patient payments.
  • Reconciles daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
  • Provides general administrative and clerical support to the assigned area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent OR one (1) year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • Required professional licensure or certification may be considered in lieu of education or experience, when applicable.
  • Previous healthcare or customer service experience preferred.
Schedule & Location
  • Monday–Friday; no weekends or holidays.
  • Rotating start times based on patient volumes: 7:30 a.m., 7:45 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 8:15 a.m., or 8:30 a.m.
  • Primary locations: Farmington Hills and Novi.
  • Occasional travel to Dearborn may be required.
  • Schedule and work location may vary based on patient volumes and operational needs.
