Job description

Mark Miller Subaru is aiming to be the best service facility in the country. We're looking for a Service Manager with the vision and leadership skills to help get us there. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for the guest-focused and efficient operation of the dealership's service department. You'll oversee the service drive, express lube, and main shop. The Service Manager will operate the department at maximum production by building and supporting a talented team, controlling costs, maintaining guest loyalty, and creating a system that gets us to our goals.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Working to consistently improve CSI and overall customer satisfaction
  • Managing work in process to ensure all work is being completed in a timely manner
  • Working directly with the sales and parts departments to improve process efficiency
  • Conducting weekly shop meetings to maintain effective communication between technicians and advisors
  • Forecasting, setting goals, and developing strategy to achieve those goals
  • Monitoring and working with the Assistant Service Manager and Service Drive Manager to elevate our processes
  • Ensuring repairs are completed correctly the first time
  • Encouraging and empowering technicians to stay up-to-date on training
  • Developing ongoing training with advisors
  • Keeping our employees safe and the culture positive
  • Maximizing and maintaining shop efficiency
  • Working with Culture Director on hiring needs
  • Monitoring and controlling expenses and policy
  • Building and fostering a team mentality among all service employees
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge on all softwares used in the service department
