The City Service Manager is primarily responsible for the following duties:
Sales
  • Maintain branch key accounts, ensure that invoicing procedures unique to those accounts are followed.
  • Ensure that customer complaints are handled properly, promptly.
  • Monitor city service sales leads received through websites and National Accounts. Focus on City Service sales, retention of existing accounts and work to regain lost contractor/commercial accounts.

Safety
  • Regulate employee's use of safety equipment.
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings.
  • Manage certifications for forklift operators, man lift operators, First Aid & CPR, OSHA.
  • Conduct monthly safety audit of branch, identify and correct if non-compliant.
  • Manage and maintain files for forklifts, man lifts, scaffolding, PFAS.
  • Manage and maintain files and equipment for personal fall arrest systems. Maintain inventory, suitability, inspections, disposal of equipment as required.
  • Conduct and comply with safety training as required of new employees.

Inventory
  • Monitor, purchase, and maintain proper stock for retail and city service use (cases/stock sheets of glass, sealants, CRL supplies).
  • Monitor, identify and correct inventory discrepancies between actual and LX.

Supplies
  • Order stocked supplies for retail/city service and warehouse.
  • Maintain list for employees to order supplies.

General
  • Customer service including answer phones, wait on showroom customers, and redirect customers as required.
  • Supervise glazing department.
  • Handle purchasing.
  • Monitor emails and respond accordingly. Print and forward emails as required.
  • Help others write work orders as help is needed; designate each day's jobs and emergency work called in by sales force.
  • Create, maintain, and manage all files associated with new hires, vehicles, and workman's comp.
  • Payroll (review and approve timecards in Paycom).
  • Ensure that time is recorded on City Service work orders.
  • Personnel Management including performance reviews, disciplinary action, etc.
  • Understand P&L statements, purchasing, and profit management.
  • Proficient in LX quotes, work orders, and invoicing including Retail City Service.
  • Proficient in small to medium contract job estimating and project management.

Qualifications
  • Glass industry experience required including auto glass installation, commercial take-off, estimating and directing glazing work for storefronts, internal office partitions, and residential glazing work
  • Knowledge of managing inventory, developing marketing plans, and selling
  • Have an understanding of the financial requirements for operating a small business
  • Experience in scheduling and managing glaziers
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
