Job description

We are currently seeking an ASD Evaluator to join our team of highly qualified professionals that share our vision of Empowering Children to Conquer their World! This role is responsible for independently providing diagnostic and developmental assessments for children and adolescents referred to Pediatrics Plus for possible autism spectrum disorder.

What you will do:ย 

  • Conduct autism spectrum or psychological assessments, analyzes, and interprets data, and writes evaluation reports per funding source guidelines.
  • Review and summarize reports and provide all feedback to client's families and providers.
  • Travel across all Pediatrics Plus sites to conduct and complete ASD diagnostics.
  • Make written diagnoses and consult with individuals and families on services offered.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary staffing and may represent Pediatrics Plus in school and marketing events.
  • Prepare statistical and other required reports.
  • Maintain current knowledge in specialty area, including the latest literature and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Demonstrate the ability to write clear, concise, and accurate clinical rationales.
  • Comply with all the procedures and instructions provided, including due dates and time.
  • Participate in one-on-one meetings with leader

What you have:

  • Experience working with individuals with an array of mental health diagnoses.
  • Exceptional professional, interpersonal, social, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of DSM-5, specifically neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.
  • Ability to author routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.
  • Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Must complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must have regular access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Travel will be required.

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Possess independent Behavioral Health licensure in Arkansas as a Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Psychological Examiner.
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience providing testing, diagnostic evaluation, service recommendation, and consultation.
  • Experience in psychological and autism spectrum assessment tools.

Travel:

Must be available and willing to travel to all Pediatrics Plus sites.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.ย The employee must be comfortable around standard farm animals, including minimal allergies to touching, smelling, feeding, and engaging with animals.
