Both roles require strong communication skills and a focus on customer satisfaction, but their work settings and specific responsibilities may differ.

What are examples of service roles?

Service employees work in roles that involve assisting customers and providing support, such as cashiers, waitstaff, customer service representatives, hotel front desk agents, and maintenance workers. These roles often require good communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and sometimes specific certifications or training. They are commonly found in retail, hospitality, healthcare, and food service environments.
