Bring your dog to work? That’s right! Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual that will perform Dog Training for our daycare. This role will oversee and perform all training needs for the dogs as well as develop trianing plans and strategies based on the owners needs. The Dog Trainer uses positive reinforcement methods and techniques 100% of the time! The Dog Trainer will maintain accurate records of training sessions, client information, and progress reports.


About the Dog Trainer Role:


  • Provide excellent service to our pets and their parents.
  • Provide dog training services to clients, including obedience training, behavior modification, and socialization.
  • Conduct individual training sessions to address specific needs and goals of dog owners.
  • Develop training plans and strategies based on the unique characteristics and behaviors of each dog.
  • Teach basic commands, leash manners, and proper behavior in various environments.
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and discourage unwanted behaviors.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of dogs during training sessions, making adjustments as needed.
  • Educate dog owners on effective training methods and provide ongoing support and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, client information, and progress reports.
  • Sell and promote training packages as well as day care plans.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking and moving around the playrooms.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
