Summary

Oversees the delivery of health services to the campus community

Essential Job Functions

  • Manages the daily operations for the delivery of health services
  • Administers routine and emergency health care services to students
  • Oversees the delivery of physician and/or other medical provider services
  • Establishes and/or revises administrative, clinical and operational policies, procedures and protocols to comply with health regulations and to address students' routine and emergency health care needs
  • Maintains a secure system of confidential medical records in accordance with applicable standards of practice, state and federal laws and HIPPA guidelines
  • Manages the inventory of medical supplies, equipment and medications, including appropriate procurement, storage, security and maintenance
  • Prepares and monitors the departmental budget
  • Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a master's degree
  • Moderate amount of experience working in nursing, clinical, health services management or other related experience
  • Nurse practitioner's license
