Job description

About Interlink Technology

Interlink Technology is a California-based managed IT services and cybersecurity company supporting businesses throughout the Inland Empire and North San Diego County.

We are looking for a Level 1 Help Desk Engineer to provide remote technical support to our clients. Our service team operates on Pacific Time, so this position works 10:00 AM–7:00 PM Central Time.

This is a fully remote support position. No regular onsite work or travel to California is required.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops remotely
  • Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Resolve password, MFA, email, and user-access issues
  • Troubleshoot software and business application problems
  • Support printers, scanners, monitors, docks, and other peripherals remotely
  • Troubleshoot VPN, Wi-Fi, and basic network connectivity
  • Install and configure approved software
  • Assist with mobile-device enrollment and basic support
  • Complete common mailbox, group, licensing, and access changes
  • Use remote monitoring, management, documentation, and AI-assisted support tools
  • Maintain accurate ticket notes, classifications, and time entries
  • Escalate complex issues with clear troubleshooting details so senior engineers can continue without repeating work

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–2 years of help desk, desktop support, MSP, or similar IT support experience preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPNs
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable speaking with end users by phone and remote-support tools
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and escalation processes
  • Ability to recognize when an issue should be escalated rather than continuing unproductive troubleshooting
  • Willingness to learn and continuously improve

Helpful Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Autotask PSA
  • NinjaOne or another RMM platform
  • Google Workspace
  • Keeper or another password-management platform
  • Mobile-device management
  • Meraki networking
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications

What Success Looks Like

A successful Level 1 Help Desk Engineer:

  • Resolves common issues efficiently
  • Provides a professional and helpful client experience
  • Knows when to troubleshoot and when to escalate
  • Maintains clear and accurate ticket documentation
  • Uses available documentation and automation before starting from scratch
  • Takes ownership of assigned tickets through resolution or proper escalation
  • Continues developing technical skills

Benefits

  • Company-paid HMO health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid sick leave
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid personal day during your birthday month
  • Training and professional development opportunities

You’ll join a small, growing MSP that values quality, accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

We are actively investing in automation and AI-assisted service delivery to reduce repetitive work and give our engineers more time to troubleshoot meaningful problems, develop their technical skills, and provide a better client experience.
