Job description

Our client, a leading telecommunications company, is seeking a UX Researcher / Service Designer to join their Product Design & Innovation team focused on B2B experiences. This role sits at the intersection of UX research, service design, and design strategy, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end experience thinking and synthesis. The ideal candidate will operate less as a traditional evaluative researcher and more as a Design Strategist, connecting insights into actionable frameworks that shape product and service direction.
  • This is a full-time role. Salary range is $165-200k.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end service design initiatives, mapping complex B2B customer journeys across products and touchpoints.
  • Synthesize research, data, and stakeholder inputs into clear, strategic narratives and experience frameworks.
  • Develop key artifacts including journey maps, service blueprints, personas, and opportunity frameworks.
  • Translate insights into actionable product and design strategy recommendations that influence roadmap decisions.
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to shape experience direction and innovation initiatives.
  • Drive service design thinking across the organization, ensuring a holistic and user-centered approach.
  • Present insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Conduct generative and exploratory research as needed, with flexibility to lean into hands-on research execution when required.
  • Help define and evolve innovation initiatives within the Product Design & Innovation team.

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in UX Research, Service Design, or Design Strategy roles.
  • Strong background in service design and end-to-end journey mapping.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear, actionable strategic direction.
  • Experience creating visual artifacts such as journey maps, service blueprints, and experience frameworks with strong storytelling clarity.
  • Solid foundation in UX research methodologies (qualitative and/or mixed methods).
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic level (defining experience vision) and executional level (conducting research when needed).
  • Experience working within cross-functional product environments.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within B2B environments.
  • Background operating as a Design Strategist within product or innovation teams.
