Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires expertise in various electrical tasks, including installation, maintenance, and renovation of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The electrician will be responsible for ensuring all work is performed in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency or meet new standards.
  • Work with low voltage systems, including security alarms and telecommunications.
  • Operate power tools safely and effectively for various installation tasks.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as handymen or contractors, to complete projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and practices while on job sites.

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or equivalent experience.
  • Must have STRONG troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical work.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills using voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to tasks.
  • Previous experience in renovation projects is preferred but not mandatory.
