FMI Service Center Manager 3833 Airport Rd, Denton, TX 76207 TX500 Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time FMI Service Center Manager, you will work in our FMI (Fastenal Managed Inventory) Technology Service Center, leading, coordinating and managing a team of individuals responsible for providing world class service and support to the field and our customers. You will manage various projects, maintain staffing levels, increase employee development, manage inventory and finances and maintain a positive, safe and clean work environment for the team while working towards achieving department goals and objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Managing all aspects of the FMI Service Center o Establishing, monitoring and maintaining departmental standards of performance o Monitoring quality and efficiencies while providing for continual departmental improvements o Leading and motivating a team of employees o Assisting with hiring and tracking of employee records o Training and onboarding new employees o Developing the team to enable a cross trained environment o Communicating with the operations manager and Fastenal team members o Ensuring department compliance of all safety rules and regulations REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed o 18 years of age or older, due to the nature of work o Possess at least 1 year of Fastenal work experience OR 1 year of industry related management experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient computer skills o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Willingness to travel o Willingness to work a flexible schedule o Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Possess FMI Service Center experience o Possess leadership experience o Mechanically inclined ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
