Job description

Job Summary
Craig and Landreth Cars - St. Matthews is seeking an experienced Service Center Foreman to join our automotive team. This full-time, hire position is responsible for managing the service technicians and overseeing the daily repair, diagnostics, and maintenance of vehicles. The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and customer service skills and a strong knowledge of automotive systems and be able to communicate effectively with customers, staff, and colleagues.  This role will help current techs diagnose and repair in service vehicles.

Responsibilities
* Help hire, train, and manage a team of automotive technicians
* Oversee assigned service and repair orders
* Ensure proper use and maintenance of repair equipment
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers
* Provide cost estimates and other customer service-related duties
* Perform quality checks on repairs and diagnose any additional service and repair needs
* Implement strategies to meet service department goals
* Plan and forecast technician scheduling
Requirements
* High school diploma or GED
* 3+ years of experience as an automotive service technician
* Ability to read and interpret information, such as shop manuals and other technical publications
* Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
* Leadership and problem-solving skills
