Job Summary: As an Assistant Service Advisor, your role is to assist and support the Service Advisors with day to day tasks of our Service Department. Make the most of your time to increase repair order performance and improve customer handling processes. Step in to perform Service Advisor duties when one is unavailable.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly.
  • Direct customers to the proper Service Advisor.
  • Coordinate loan car paperwork
  • Review the pre-written repair orders
  • Perform customer service follow-up calls
  • Notify the Service Manager immediately of any unsatisfied customers, so that the matter can be addressed immediately.
  • Fill in for the Service Advisorโ€™s when they are not on the job (lunches, illness, vacations, etc.).
  • Any additional duties assigned by management.
  • Lot porter duties when one is unavailable, including parking cars and retrieving cars for customers.
  • Service Advisors duties when one is unavailable, including administrative duties, printing the next dayโ€™s pre-writes, attaching warranty inquiries, calling extended contract companiesโ€™ approvals, writing internal repair orders, processing PDIโ€™s, etc

Requirements:

  • Experience working at an auto dealership or auto repair is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex automotive repairs to customers in a manner that makes sense.
  • Good time management skills and multitasking ability.
  • Ability to work well with Service Technicians.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and Garavel uniform worn
  • Valid driverโ€™s license.
  • Clean driving history.
  • Regular Attendance

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to continuously stand or walk.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift occasionally
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds 
  • Move frequently in and out of vehicles
