McMenamins Sand Trap Pub is Hiring for Server!
McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington serving our own handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside good, honest pub fare. Locations range from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels. We emphasize community, art, history, music, food, drink, and fun. McMenamins has seasonal, as well as long-term career opportunities! Description of the Position:
In general, every Server employee will be asked to handle every task from opening to closing in a multi-tasking environment. Duties include but are not limited to: greeting incoming customers; working with the host station in seating guests or directing them to choose their preferred seating; providing a level of knowledgeable service to tables; taking food and beverage orders; delivering products in a timely manner; serving food, serving beer, wine and spirits; bussing tables and restocking supplies; place orders on a POS system collecting payment; dishwashing, general cleaning, working outside and indoors; maintaining customer relations with all guests; set up and breakdown of service and work areas so they are well stocked and organized for efficient and safe service. Servers will be organized, responsible for balancing bookwork at the end of every shift, and turn in all appropriate cash and non-cash receipts. Being a server can be hard physical work, requires mental agility, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. A server must also have the ability to work well independently and as a member of a team.
