Job description

Touchmark at Fairway Village is Southwest Washington's premier retirement community, enriching the lives of residents and their families through exceptional service and quality housing.
 

Our Dining Room Servers are responsible for serving meals in three of our five dining rooms, including our spacious and elegant Courtside dining room, where five star service is our goal. Servers greet guests, take orders, enter orders into our dining system, communicate with one another and the cooks and management staff, serve meals, bus tables, and perform side work such as folding linens, cleaning the dining rooms, and other dining-related tasks.
 

We serve three meals, seven days a week. Meals served are breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus special events. Looking for Sunday availability. Shifts start as early as 6am, and are generally concluded by 7:30pm. Short shifts of one or two meals are common. Schedules are posted three weeks in advance. Servers may also be asked to serve special meals at events, or to work in our on-site coffee shop/Café. Most positions are Part time.  Full time positions (30+ hours per week) are eligible for benefits after 90 days. 
  

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays when needed
    Must have a valid Washington State Food Handler's card, or obtain one prior to employment.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age at date of hire. Minors in high school must obtain consent from parents and school.  

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.  

  • Must be willing to take a tuberculosis test (onsite).  

  • Must be cheerful, enthusiastic, team-player, able to stand and  for a full shift and to carry trays of food and beverages.

  • No specific server experience required, but is a bonus!

  • Experience working with older adults also a bonus.
