As a member of the Infrastructure Foundation Hardware Engineering team, you will help develop and validate next-generation server platforms that power a reliable, high-performing, and cost-efficient infrastructure at scale. You will work across platform bring-up, firmware qualification, hardware validation, fleet integration, and performance optimization to support large-scale production deployments.
You Will:
  • Bring-up & Sustaining: Drive key aspects of the hardware development lifecycle, including feasibility studies, hardware bring-up, validation, deployment, and ongoing production support.
  • Platform Optimization: Perform platform integration, performance characterization, and system-level debugging across compute infrastructure, focusing on hardware optimization, driver tuning, and thermal/power efficiency.
  • Hardware Validation: Develop and execute rigorous evaluation and stress-testing strategies for server platforms to ensure reliability and performance under production-scale workloads.
  • Firmware & Fleet Enablement: Support BIOS/BMC firmware qualification, hardware health monitoring, and automation tooling for firmware deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Vendor & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with hardware vendors and internal infrastructure teams to investigate component- and system-level failures across hardware, drivers, firmware, and kernel layers.

You Have:
  • Experience: 5+ years of hardware engineering, system architecture, or infrastructure validation experience.
  • Education: BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Linux-based server environments, modern data center technologies, and server architecture including PCIe, NVMe, Ethernet/InfiniB and memory subsystems, and accelerator-based platforms.
  • Testing Skills: Hands-on experience testing and validating CPU, Memory, Storage, and high-speed networking subsystems in a Linux environment.
  • Programming: Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for developing hardware validation tools and automation scripts.
  • System Debugging: Strong experience debugging complex server issues remotely, including analysis of kernel logs, hardware registers, and bus-level traces/captures.
  • GPU Architectures: Familiarity with GPU platforms, AI accelerators, or high-performance compute (HPC) systems is a plus.

  • A Problem Solver: Decisive and effective at tracking hardware issues from identification through to fleet-wide resolution.
  • A Communicator: Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to translate complex hardware constraints into actionable insights for software teams.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Annual Salary Range
$243,290-$295,250 USD
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
