What You’ll Do

As a Hardware Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in configuring, validating, and optimizing hardware solutions tailored to customer needs. You’ll collaborate with engineering, sales, and supply chain teams to bring cutting‑edge data center hardware from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and provide feedback on customers’ design and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with Sales and Field Engineering on server, rack, and networking integration at the BOM level.
  • Lead first article builds and manages production documentation (BOM validation, hardware optimization, engineering instructions).
  • Provide technical input to designers, engineering, and other team members to help drive compelling new ideas forward.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Technical Program Management, Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure a smooth transition from NPI to mass production products.
  • Coordinate ECN/ECO processes in internal and external PLM systems.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of working experience as a Hardware Engineer with deep understanding of rack architecture, network gear (switches, optics, cables), and power/cooling technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Experience with Wiki/Project tacking software (Confluence, JIRA) and PLM systems (Agile or similar) is a plus.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing environment or partnered with ODM/OEM to develop and launch new products
  • Willingness to travel (5%+ domestic/international).
