Job Description

A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Reports to the Restaurant Manager.

  • Greets guests and presents them with the menu
  • Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
  • Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
  • Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations
  • Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests
  • Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
  • Assists with cash register at counter-service restaurants
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of the sequence of service and dining room procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic math skills

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Pay rate is set at $18.70 an hour plus tips (Tip Pool System)
