Job description

POSITION: Club Level Server
STATUS: Hourly / Part-time as needed
REPORTS: Server Coordinator
FACILITY: Erie Insurance Arena
HOURLY RATE: Guaranteed no less than $11.00 per hour + tips. Average rate with tips varies between $15.00 - $25.00 per hour - Rate of pay will depend on business volume
POSITION
SUMMARY: As a Club Level Server on our team, you'll master the art of creating a superior customer experience. This position is responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and making an unforgettable guest experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • He/she must be 18 years or older.
  • One year of server experience preferred.
  • Much be RAMP certified or willing to obtain certification through Erie Events. Additionally, must satisfactorily fulfill all other departmental training requirements.
  • Must utilize excellent guest service skills and have a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with patrons.
  • Standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, and bending for long periods of time.
  • All duties are to be performed in accordance with Pennsylvania State laws and regulations, as well as Erie Events policies, practices and procedures.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Description Detail:
  • Serves food and beverage to guests according to guest orders and/or banquet order.
  • Provides excellent customer service, anticipating guests needs.
  • Maintains a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Maintains a clean work environment.
  • Utilizes POS system in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Serves orders in a timely manner.
  • Learns the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation methods for each item to be served.
  • Establishes pre-function side work to be performed and makes sure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition, notifying supervisor of any issues.
  • Determines when a guest should not be served additional alcoholic beverages in accordance with ECCCA policies.
  • To complete end of event side work duties and general cleaning of immediate environment and section.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Attends all staff meetings as required by management.
