The Wealth Solutions - Investment Advisor supports Empower's Wealth Solutions organization by guiding clients through the initial steps of achieving their financial goals. This advisory role is designed for licensed investment professionals who are building a career in wealth management. Through direct client engagement, mentorship, and hands-on experience with Empower's holistic financial planning process, Investment Advisors develop the knowledge and skills needed to progress into Senior Financial Advisor roles. Working primarily with clients who have less than $100,000 in total assets, Investment Advisors introduce clients to Empower's advisory experience, assist with consolidating outside assets, and establish the foundation for long-term financial relationships.
What You Will Do
  • Conduct financial consultations with new and existing clients to understand financial goals, evaluate outside assets, and recommend Empower wealth management solutions aligned with client objectives
  • Guide clients through the onboarding process into Empower's Wealth Solutions program, including account opening and asset consolidation
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM, Empower's digital planning tools, and other technology platforms to document client interactions, manage opportunities, and execute follow-up activities
  • Partner with Senior Financial Advisors and Relationship Management teams to ensure seamless client transitions as financial needs become more complex
  • Apply Empower's consultative conversation framework to deliver personalized, goal-based financial discussions
  • Maintain current knowledge of investment products, retirement planning strategies, market trends, and Empower's service offerings
  • Meet or exceed established activity, client engagement, and conversion goals that support client growth and retention
  • Participate in coaching, training, licensing, and ongoing professional development programs to strengthen advisory capabilities
  • Maintain compliance with FINRA, SEC, state insurance, and company regulatory requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives

What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active FINRA Series 7 license required
  • Active FINRA Series 63 and Series 65 licenses, or Series 66, required
  • FINRA Fingerprinting required
  • State Life and Health Insurance License preferred
  • Candidates who possess the required FINRA licenses and prior experience in financial services, wealth management, investment services, banking, or other client-facing financial roles are strongly preferred
  • Internship or early career experience supporting financial advisors, investment professionals, or wealth management teams is desirable
  • Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust and deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and financial planning technology
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, professionalism, and commitment to regulatory compliance
  • Passion for helping clients build financial confidence and achieve their long-term financial goals

Base Salary Range
$50,300.00 - $69,125.00
The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
