OVERALL DESCRIPTION

We are seeking skilled and safety-driven candidates to fill our Electrician - First Class (0751) positions. The successful candidates will play a key role and be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, testing, and adjusting electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensures all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, safety standards, and project specifications.   

Please Note: Candidates under the age of 21 who do NOT currently hold a Pennsylvania driver's license may not be eligible to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement, which is a requirement for this position. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Install, maintain, repair, test, and adjust electrical equipment, wiring, and fixtures.
  • Inspect, clean, troubleshoot, and repair transformers, inverters, motor alternators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and switchboard relays.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair lighting circuits, including replacing fuses and circuit breakers as needed.
  • Install, maintain, and repair substation power traction equipment, bus bars, wiring, motors, and motor control systems.
  • Ensure continuous and reliable power service to all electrical apparatus and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license. Will be required to obtain a CDL. 
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment and performance tests as required.
  • Must have 4 years of relevant electrical work experience.
  • An equivalent combination of trade school education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements (one year of formal education equating to two years of experience).
  • Must have relevant electrical work experience and be proficient in the installation, maintenance, repair, testing and adjustment of electrical equipment.
