Job Title: Automation Technician
Location: Libertyville, IL

Job Description:

Seeking an Automation Technician with 4+ years of experience in injection molding automation. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize automated molding equipment to support high-volume manufacturing.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with robot programming & troubleshooting (Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, Wittmann)
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, motion control, VFDs, industrial sensors, pneumatic & hydraulic systems
  • Experience troubleshooting robots, conveyors, vision systems, and automation equipment
  • Familiarity with EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling), preventive maintenance, and process optimization
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Technical certification or Associate degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Industrial Automation preferred

Preferred:

  • Experience with new mold trials, Lean/Kaizen initiatives, and ISO/FDA/GMP regulated manufacturing environments.
