GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Welder Fabricator plays a critical role in the manufacturing and construction industries by creating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components with precision and expertise. This position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to fabricate parts that meet exact standards. The Welder Fabricator ensures the structural integrity and quality of welded assemblies through skilled welding techniques and thorough inspections. Collaboration with engineers, designers, and other tradespeople is essential to deliver projects on time and within budget. Ultimately, this role contributes to the successful completion of complex projects by producing durable, high-quality metal products that meet safety and performance requirements.

SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:

1.    Inspect and test welded joints for quality and compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

2.    Maintain and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

3.    Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan and execute fabrication projects within deadlines.

4.    Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

5.    Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    High School Diploma or equivalent.

2.    Proven experience as a welder fabricator or similar role.

3.    Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welder) or equivalent.

4.    Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

5.    Strong knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    Experience with advanced welding processes such as TIG and MIG welding.

2.    Familiarity with fabrication software and CNC machinery.

3.    Additional certifications related to metal fabrication or welding inspection.

4.    Experience working in a manufacturing or construction environment.

5.    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

6.    Preferred skills, including familiarity with fabrication software and CNC machinery, enhance efficiency and precision in complex projects. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1.    Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and apply appropriate welding techniques to produce high-quality metal assemblies. 

2.    Proficiency in various welding methods such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding is essential for daily fabrication tasks and repairs. 

3.    Safety awareness and adherence to protocols ensure a secure work environment while handling potentially hazardous equipment. 

4.    Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are applied continuously to troubleshoot issues and maintain the integrity of welded structures.
