Job Description

We are hiring a Sales Specialists, Separately Managed Accounts to join our team.
You will partner and consult with financial advisors to guide the implementation of Columbia Threadneedle's Separately Managed Account business, primarily our Direct Indexing solution. You will deliver product knowledge and usable sales approaches across BD, RIA, Private Bank, and Independent channels.
In this role you will create Columbia Threadneedle brand recognition and demand. Drive sales by supporting Regional Advisor Consultants and National Account Managers is sharing our portfolio management process and competitive advantage in tax loss harvesting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Intermediary wholesaling team and National Account team to achieve sales goals and objectives through effective territory and resource planning and the use of a consultative sales process and other performance improvement systems. Conference and platform on-boarding travel required in addition to travel with regional advisor consultants in territory. Travel required: 10-20% of time.
  • Partner with portfolio management team and regional advisor consultants in delivering high touch service model in the sales, account opening, maintenance and performance review process.
  • Maintain and leverage a deep understanding of all accounts/distributors, including specific rules of engagement for distributors. Identify client needs and provide investment and business solutions to the financial advisor.

Requirements
5 -7 years' experience in financial services industry.
3+ years sales experience.
Licensing - a combination of series 7 and series 66 or series 7, series 63 and series 65.
Proven ability to build strong relationships.
Demonstrated ability to make successful and dynamic sales presentations.

Preferred

  • Previous sales experience with SMAs particularly direct indexing.
  • Knowledge of tax-loss harvesting platforms and competitors.
  • Competent at cross channel consultative sales conversations.
  • CIMA or CFA.

In-Office Collaboration

We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders - clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.

Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 per year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
