Sentinel Blue is looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Platforms Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable, reliable, and secure technical platforms that enable teams to deliver services efficiently and consistently. Our ideal candidate is a strong systems thinker who can design and automate infrastructure, reduce operational friction, and embed security and compliance into platform capabilities. This role will support our internal teams by developing and maintaining shared infrastructure, automation, and tooling that underpin service delivery.
This is a full-time position that is fully remote.
This position may require access to technology, technical data, or information that is subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. Employment in this position is contingent upon either verification of U.S. person status as defined under applicable export control regulations (which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and certain protected individuals such as refugees and asylees) or the ability to obtain any required export authorization. Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, systems engineering, or related technical roles.
Hands-on experience building and operating cloud infrastructure in Azure. - Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code, automation, configuration management, and change control systems.
- Strong understanding of system security concepts such as IAM, least privilege, logging and monitoring, encryption, network segmentation, and backup/recovery.
- Experience supporting platforms or systems aligned with security or compliance frameworks such as CMMC or NIST 800-171.
Proficiency with at least one scripting or programming language. - Demonstrated ability to design reliable systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement scalable solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain platform concepts to non-platform stakeholders.
- CompTIA Security+ certification is required in the first 6 months of hire.

- Experience working in a multi-tenant or managed services environment.
- Familiarity with Azure Government and Office 365 GCC High environments.
