Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring for a Travel Registered Nurse on a Cardiac Med-Tele Unit!

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Med-Tele Unit

Sentara Louise Obici Hospital - Suffolk, VA

  • $70.00/hr pay rate
  • Temporary Full Time
  • 14-week assignment
  • NIGHT Shift
  • No benefits

Department/Unit Overview:

The Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. 2 South also cares for pre/post catheterization, acute stroke, and post procedural neuro cases. This 25-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:6 with assistance of Patient Care Techs. The unit cares for patients with acuity higher than a typical medical-surgical unit. 2 South Acute Cardiac is also preparing for a transition to a Cardiac PCU step-down before year's end, making it an exciting opportunity for nurses seeking growth in a dynamic, high-acuity setting. Recognized as a certified stroke center and holding magnet designation for excellence in patient care, Sentara Obici provides a collaborative environment for nurses to thrive and develop their expertise in cardiac and neuro care.

Education

  • Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

Certification/Licensure

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • ACLS

  • NIH Stroke Scale

Experience

  • Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
