Job Summary:

The Sales Engineer I will collaborate closely with Account Executives to connect with potential clients, utilizing their engineering expertise to identify market opportunities and assist customers with complex technical applications. Their role involves identifying client needs and effectively communicating the technological capabilities and business value of our products. The successful candidate will excel in articulating complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to all potential clients, leveraging their engineering background to sell technical solutions effectively.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Customer Engagement: Respond to general inquiries and RFQs, evaluate technical requirements, prospect opportunities, and propose creative solutions that match customer demands.
  • Order Processing and Support: Send quotations, process POs, provide delivery updates, and manage various aspects of order processing and production operation.
  • Technical Assistance: Initiate RMAs, offering after-sales support, and relaying customer feedback to the quality, engineering, and management teams.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain detailed customer records in the CRM system and nurture customer relationships with routine outreach and communication.
  • Market Research: Manage qualification of new products, create and maintain sales documentation, and identify critical product characteristics and features necessary for future revenue growth.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research for new and existing products and technology, identify opportunities, conduct competitive analysis, and develop commercialization strategies.
  • Outreach: Represent the company in various marketing and sales activities, such as industry trade shows, conferences, sales site visits, and customer facility audits.
  • Presentations: Prepare technical presentations that explain complex products and technology to current and prospective customers

  • Production Area: Occasional visits to the production area, which may involve exposure to airborne particles, mild fumes, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Noise levels are moderate in the production area.

Physical Demands:

  • Attendance: Regular, predictable attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Physical Activity: Prolonged periods of sitting, occasional standing, stooping, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
