Manufacturing Operations Data Analyst

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Operations Data Analyst supports Operations leadership by analyzing manufacturing data, improving reporting processes, and providing insights that support business decisions. This role works with ERP and operational data to identify trends, improve reporting accuracy, and automate recurring processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, consolidate, clean, and analyze data from ERP systems and other operational sources.
  • Monitor key manufacturing metrics including production, quality, inventory, labor, cost, capacity, and delivery.
  • Identify trends, performance gaps, data issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, scorecards, and presentations for Operations leadership.
  • Automate recurring data collection and reporting processes to reduce manual work and improve accuracy.
  • Present key findings and actionable recommendations during Operations Reviews.
  • Support continuous-improvement initiatives by providing analysis and measuring results.
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and IT to improve data visibility and reporting.
  • Respond to ad hoc data and reporting requests as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and ability to create clear, professional presentations.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and communicate findings clearly to leadership.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or factory data.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and/or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power Query, or similar data-analysis tools.
  • Experience building dashboards or automating recurring reports.
  • Understanding of manufacturing KPIs such as production output, labor efficiency, downtime, scrap, inventory, cost, capacity, and on-time delivery.
