Job description

JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer
LOCATION: Moorestown, NJ
PAY RATE: $115.00/year

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Designs, analyzes, verifies, and supports production of mechanical structures, enclosures, and electronic modules for multiple programs.

  • Interfaces with Systems, Electrical Engineers, Drafting, and Operations personnel to develop detailed designs and assembly strategies.

  • Works with cross-functional teams in design, development, integration, testing, and requirements verification.

  • Supports development of technical data packages including models, drawings, and specifications.

  • Participates in design reviews for mechanical systems and components.

  • Engages with suppliers for component sourcing and manufacturing support.

  • Supports lab and test facility activities for mechanical hardware verification.

  • Applies mechanical engineering principles to sensor mechanical design and electronic module packaging.

  • Performs mechanical analysis including structural, thermal, and vibration for aerospace applications.

  • Supports assembly strategies and manufacturing processes for mechanical components.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Experience in mechanical design, analysis, and verification of structures and enclosures.

  • Experience with CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting (e.g., CREO, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).

  • Experience with technical data package development including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.

  • Experience supporting design reviews and cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Experience with mechanical analysis including structural and thermal analysis.

  • Experience with electronic module packaging and sensor mechanical design.

  • Experience with supplier engagement and manufacturing support.

  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5 standards.
