A key focus of this role is the prioritization and project management of the CRM team's initiatives, ensuring that the CRM platform and related projects are executed effectively and in alignment with commercial and organizational priorities. The Director will manage a small team of 1–2 direct reports and lead third-party vendors, managed service providers, and technology partners.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

IT Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of the enterprise IT strategy and roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Develop IT policies, technology roadmaps, and infrastructure improvements to support business growth.
  • Establish and maintain technology policies, procedures, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  • Develop and manage the annual IT operating and capital expenditure budget.
  • Function as an IT business partner — proactively engaging business leaders to understand needs, translate them into technology solutions, and drive adoption.

CRM Project Management & Oversight

  • Lead prioritization of the CRM team's project portfolio, ensuring initiatives are scoped, sequenced, and delivered in alignment with commercial and strategic priorities.
  • Serve as the strategic owner of the CRM platform including optimization, integrations, reporting, workflow automation, and user adoption.
  • Partner with Commercial, Sales Operations, and G&A leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and align CRM capabilities with business requirements.
  • Manage CRM vendors, consultants, and technology partners to ensure effective delivery and support.
  • Oversee CRM data integrity, system development, and technical support to enhance customer engagement and sales effectiveness.

Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

  • Oversee company technology systems, cybersecurity protocols, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies.
  • Ensure systems and IT processes comply with applicable regulatory, privacy, and security requirements, including FDA, GxP, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, and cybersecurity standards.
  • Manage the IT vendor management strategy including external service providers and managed service partners.

AI & Innovation

  • Champion the exploration and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and platforms at an enterprise level.
  • Evaluate AI use cases across business functions — including CRM, operations, and customer engagement — and drive responsible implementation.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the company's strategic objectives.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop 1–2 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Lead change management efforts associated with technology implementations and process improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 8+ years of progressive IT, enterprise systems, or business technology leadership experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare, with preference for life sciences (medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environments).
  • Experience working for or with a publicly traded company is a plus, including familiarity with SOX compliance and related IT controls.
  • Experience leading or supporting CRM strategy and teams, preferably within Salesforce or similar enterprise CRM environments.
  • Proven track record of project management and on-time, on-budget delivery across a portfolio of IT and business technology projects.
  • Experience managing and leading small, high-performing teams (1–2 direct reports) and cross-functional resources.

Technical Skills
