What is a Seniors First job?

A Seniors First job typically involves working for an organization or program dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of senior citizens. Employees in these roles may provide direct care, coordinate services, offer companionship, or assist with daily activities for older adults. Seniors First jobs can include positions such as caregivers, case managers, program coordinators, or administrative staff who all work to ensure seniors receive the resources and support they need to maintain their independence and quality of life.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Seniors First case manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Seniors First case manager, you need knowledge of geriatric care, social work principles, and typically a degree in social work, nursing, or a related field. Familiarity with case management software, client record systems, and Medicaid/Medicare processes is essential.
