What does a senior do?

A 'Senior' in a job title refers to someone who has significant experience and expertise in their field. Their role often involves strategic decision-making, project oversight, and contributing to the development of best practices within their team or department.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a senior?

To thrive as a Senior Accountant, you need advanced accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, often supported by a CPA certification. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, and strong Excel skills are typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication help you excel when managing complex financial data and collaborating with teams.
